Less than 24 hours after Minnesota’sĀ Hassani Dotson produced a goal-of-the-season contender during a raucous 3-3 draw at Sporting KC, MLS has once again given us another worldie to enjoy from the comforts of our home.
After seeing visiting Nashville SC take an early 1-0 lead thanks to Sam Surridge, Philadelphia Union midfielderĀ Jovan LukiÄ produced a treatise on volley dynamics when he belted an equalizer 18 minutes later, blasting his effort through four Nashville players and into the bottom corner.
LukiÄ, who now sits on two goals in the early weeks of the 2025 MLS campaign, arrived from Serbian outfitĀ Spartak Subotica before the start of the season, settling quickly atĀ Subaru Park.
Though Nashville ultimately re-established their one-goal advantage courtesy of Swedish youth internationalĀ Ahmed Qasem, LukiÄ’s strike is another example of the ever-growing quality among the player ranks in MLS.
