The opening round of the 107th PGA Championship didn’t produce a star-studded leaderboard, but it did result in lots of talk about mud.
PGA of America officials opted to play the ball down, after several days of rain at Quail Hollow, and many of the players weren’t happy.
One who was, however, was Jhonattan Vegas, who went on a late birdie run to grab the 18-hole lead in the season’s second major.
