As the Indiana Fever enter the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup break, Caitlin Clark bolstered her WNBA MVP-worthy resume in Friday night’s 111-91 win over the Connecticut Sun. Once again, Clark set a trio of WNBA records.
On Friday, Clark tallied 34 points on 12 for 19 shooting and 6 for 12 from 3-point range. Clark added 12 assists, five rebounds, and three steals in 34 minutes of play.

Thanks to her sensational stat line on Friday, Clark becomes the first player in WNBA history to record 800-plus points and 300-plus assists in a single season. Clark is also the first WNBA player to register 300-plus assists and 100-plus made 3-pointers in a single season.
Additionally, Clark became the first player in WNBA history to notch consecutive games of 30-plus points and 10-plus assists. Clark had 37 points and 10 assists in the Fever’s Aug. 23 win at the Chicago Sky.
While much of the Fever roster will have a lengthy break until they play their next game on Sept. 18, Clark is joining the loaded Team USA roster alongside teammate Aliyah Boston and head coach Stephanie White (serving as assistant coach) at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Berlin, Germany.

Once the international tournament is over, Clark and the Fever will look to secure home-court advantage in the WNBA Playoffs when they resume play with just four games remaining in their 2026 regular-season schedule.
