The Atlantic Coast Conference recently announced the league portion of the 2026-27 women’s basketball schedule.
The ACC produced 11 20-win teams last season and is poised to remain the nation’s premier women’s basketball conference.

Led by head coach Brooke Wyckoff, the Florida State Seminoles have posted three 10-win seasons against the ACC, but finished last season 10-21 with a 5-13 conference record.
As usual, Florida State will play the same opponents and host and the same number of games. However, the timing of the matchups can be important.
The Seminoles begin the ACC slate on the road against Notre Dame on Dec. 6. The Fighting Irish have long been one of the best programs in women’s basketball. FSU will host NC State on Dec. 17, travel to Georgia Tech on Dec. 31, and Boston College on Jan. 3.
The Seminoles have long dominated Georgia Tech and Boston College, with a 33-27 record over the Yellow Jackets and, 21-3 all-time against the Eagles. Boston College finished last in the ACC last year with only one conference win.

The Seminoles will host Louisville on Jan. 7 and Syracuse on Jan. 10. Both programs have been in the ACC for a little over a decade, so the matchups against FSU are still limited. The Seminoles are 9-7 against the Cardinals at home and 8-7 all-time against the Orange. Louisville finished second in the ACC with a 15-3 record and 29-8 overall.
Florida State has long dominated its rivalry with Miami, with a 54-20 record. Wyckoff’s Seminoles have a 7-3 record over the Hurricanes and will travel to Coral Gables on Jan. 17.
The Seminoles will host Pitt on Jan. 21 and face Virginia Tech on the road on Jan. 24. Florida State has faced Pitt 13 times and won every matchup. The Seminoles are 32-13 all-time against the Hokies, including 13-7 on the road.
Florida State will host Duke on Jan. 28 and Wake Forest on Jan. 31. The Blue Devils finished 27-9 last season and in first place in the conference with a 16-2 record within the ACC.

Before traveling across the country to the Bay Area to play California on Feb. 4 and Stanford on Feb. 7, two programs that recently joined the ACC after the implosion of the PAC-12.
The Seminoles will host Clemson and Miami on Feb. 11 and Feb. 14, respectively. FSU is 39-29 against the Tigers all-time with a 22-12 mark at home.
Florida State travels to Virginia on Feb. 18 and North Carolina on Feb. 21. The Tar Heels finished third in the ACC with a 14-4 record and 28-8 overall.
The Seminoles will round out conference play at home against SMU on Feb. 28. The Mustangs finished at the bottom of the ACC and have lost both of their matchups against Florida State over the last two years.

There is nowhere to go but up for the Seminoles, who are led by senior guard Sole Williams and her 15.1 points per game. A senior-laden roster should produce better results for the Seminoles as they enter an exciting season.
