Pearson is the No. 63 prospect in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports com composite rankings. He is the type of athletic player MU head coach Shaka Smart likes to deploy in the frontcourt. Pearson excels as a lob-catcher on offense and shot blocker on defense.

The Golden Eagles just received a commitment in the 2026 class from 6-foot-7 wing player Ethan Johnston on May 7.

Pearson was offered a scholarship by MU in July 2024 after a successful run on the AAU circuit with Brad Beal Elite. He went on an unofficial visit to Milwaukee in October, and then an official one in January when the Golden Eagles played Xavier at Fiserv Forum.

Pearson also visited Iowa State, Missouri, Iowa and Illinois.

MU is losing guard Chase Ross and big man Ben Gold after next season.

The Golden Eagles have some young big men they have been trying to develop in 6-9 Caedin Hamilton, who played 29 games last season after redshirting in 2023-24, and 7-foot-1 Josh Clark, who redshirted last season.
