With her hiring, she becomes the ninth coach in program history.
“I am beyond excited to join the Yellowjacket family and lead the women’s basketball program at UW-Superior,” Parsons said in the press release. “I would like to thank Nick Bursik and the committee for the opportunity to be part of a culture that values community and relationships in addition to competitive excellence. I can’t wait to connect with the team and begin this new journey together.”
Prior to her coaching stint at UWSP and Division II Tusculum in Tusculum, Tennessee, Parsons spent four seasons competing at Division III Berry College in Georgia. She finished her career in the top 10 in school history in career points, assists, steals, and three pointers.
“We are excited to welcome Eveline to UW-Superior and have her lead our women’s basketball program,” Director of Athletics Nick Bursik said in the news release. “Her commitment to building a championship culture and providing a holistic student-athlete experience was evident throughout our search process. We look forward to seeing her make an immediate impact and continuing the growth of our program.”
