After a week off since their most recent game, the Alabama Crimson Tide returned home Saturday night for a game against one of their biggest rivals, the Tennessee Volunteers.
Known as “The Third Saturday in October” during football season, the two SEC rivals met on the hardwood inside of Coleman Coliseum for this latest edition of the rivalry, a game which Tennessee eventually came away with a 79-73 road win.

In the loss, Alabama was led by Labaron Philon Jr. with a team-high 26 points, while Charles Bediako impressed in his return for the Crimson Tide with 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field. The Crimson Tide also struggled defensively against the Tennessee star duo of Nate Ament and Ja’Kobi Gillespie, the former of which had a career-high 29 points.
