On Thursday, the UConn Huskies women’s basketball program learned its full schedule for 2026-27 as the Big East portion was released by the league.
The non-conference portion of the schedule features powers like South Carolina, Duke, Tennessee and LSU, while the conference slate features 20 games against 10 different opponents.

We covered our three major takeaways from the Big East schedule after the release, but there are two additional things that are noteworthy, courtesy of Maggie Vanoni.
The Huskies will travel to St. John’s on Jan. 24, but instead of the game being played on campus, it will be played at Madison Square Garden, similar to how it was in 2025-26.
While UConn typically wins enough to earn itself prime exposure, moments like this are still very cool for players and very good for the growth of the women’s game in general. Any time the game can be showcased in an NBA venue, that’s a good thing. Especially when that NBA venue is the home of the NBA champions.

On Feb. 7, the Huskies will travel to Marquette, where they will play at Fiserv Forum, the home of the Milwaukee Bucks. The same thought as above applies: Better venues = better experiences for players = better exposure for the program and for the game as a whole.
You do feel for the fans on campus though that won’t be able to attend the matchup as easily.
