“A Lot Of Us Were Promised That”: Skylar Diggins Reveals Her Biggest Frustration With Chicago Sky Amid Health-Forced Season Exit

Skylar Diggins did not hold back her opinions on what is wrong with the Chicago franchise during a recent press conference. It was recently announced that Diggins will no longer be part of the Sky team going forward as a result of a knee injury.

Diggins has actually been missing since the previous month after her knee injury never fully healed. Diggins, in her conversation with reporters, took subtle shots at the Sky franchise for never allowing the team to train in their practice facility. The team has been in the process of making a new one for their team, but the facility does not seem to have been completed as of yet.

This not only upset Diggins but the rest of the Sky franchise as well, according to the baller herself. The players were reportedly promised this before the season could kick off, and many of them were upset when the move never happened.

“We’ve talked about one of the big reasons why we’re shutting this down is to prioritize my health and for the future and for the future with this organization… I haven’t expressed any desire to not talk about me in a Chicago Sky uniform next year…” Skylar Diggins said as reported by Colin Salao.

“I think a lot of us were promised that. We thought that was going to be the case.” Diggins said about her frustration of not training in the practice facility.

Skylar Diggins also added that she had experienced the same in her previous teams, including Seattle and Phoenix. She admitted that there might be technical delays because of the management, but this behavior on the part of the Sky management was irritating for her and the rest of the players.

Skylar Diggins Wasn’t Only One To Complain About Chicago

Skylar Diggins is, in fact, not the first player to complain about the way things are run in Chicago. A most notable name that was very particularly unhappy with her time in Chicago is none other than Angel Reese. Reese complained about the Sky management many times when she played for the Sky, extending her complaints to not just her teammates but the franchise itself.

After two seasons of constantly complaining and being unhappy, Reese found herself signing with the Atlanta franchise and could not be happier. Since the move, Reese has been the best version of herself, breaking a number of records for the Dream team this season.
