The 2025 WNBA season begins in a matter of days. The league will tip off its first game of the year on May 2 with a matchup between the Dallas Wings and Las Vegas Aces.
A’ja Wilson, Las Vegas’ team leader and two-time WNBA champion, took to social media on Friday to tease not only the new season’s debut, but her upcoming new shoe, The A’One, and a new colorway as part of her first signature footwear and apparel collection to be released in May.

In the press release shared in February to tease the collection, Nike highlighted what Wilson brings to the sport and, by extension, fashion.
“In A’ja, the next generation has a beacon to look to — an inspiration point,” said Ben Nethongkome, lead designer for the A’One. “We designed the Nike A’One so that when girls lace up, they channel A’ja’s encouragement through her footwear, knowing they can be like her one day.”
In the social media post, Wilson can be seen wearing a three-tone colorway with navy, royal blue and aqua hues.
Wilson described her shoe as a tool to support her game.

“The A’One is meant to go the distance, taking control from the jump and dominating the floor on every play,” said Wilson. “From the beginning, we designed the shoe to both support my game and to provide young hoopers a tool to help them level up. The A’One aces that assignment, delivering exactly what I need to push my performance and inspiring the next generation to give it their all on every play.”

The post shows Wilson working out in several photos at the Las Vegas Aces’ practice facility. Several action shots show the 28-year-old practicing her jump shot or posing with the shoes in the gym.
Another colorway is shown with cooler blue tones that appear to be a powder blue, stone blue, and a more muted cobalt shade.
Wilson, the 2023 WNBA Finals MVP and three-time WNBA MVP, is looking to guide the Aces to their third title this season after falling short in last year’s semifinal round of the playoffs to the eventual champions, the New York Liberty.
