Carlos Prates is a menace for the UFC welterweight division.
Back in November, Prates made the most of the biggest opportunity of his fighting career. The Brazilian fan-favorite was given a main event slot at a UFC Fight Night event and was paired against respected veteran Neil Magny. As many expected, Prates went in there and picked up a first-round KO almost without breaking a sweat. It was a big win for Prates, as he was able to break into the UFC official welterweight rankings.

Prates (21-6 MMA, 4-0 UFC) returns to the cage this Saturday in the main event of UFC on ESPN 66 (ESPN2, ESPN+), which takes place at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo.. He takes on top contender Ian Machado Garry (15-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) in a key welterweight matchup.
