Class of 2026 defensive lineman Jermaine Polk announced on Monday that he would no longer be taking an official visit to Wisconsin next weekend.
The update follows Wisconsin landing commitments from two defensive linemen in the class — three-star recruits Arthur Scott and Djidjou Bah. The two were high-priority targets for the Badgers, given their inclusion in the program’s May 30 official visit weekend. With the important position now bolstered in Wisconsin’s class of 2026, Polk will look elsewhere for his recruitment.

The Toledo, Ohio, native still has official visits scheduled to Iowa State on June 13 and Iowa on June 20, plus just concluded a trip to Boston College on May 30. It’s unclear whether the defensive lineman will add a visit on June 6. As of June 3, that trio of schools appears to be the favorites to land his commitment. On3 currently lists Iowa State as the favorite at 32.8%. Boston College is next at 28.7%, then Iowa at 18.6%.
247Sports lists Polk as a three-star recruit. The service specifically ranks him as the No. 74 defensive lineman in the class of 2026 and No. 26 recruit from Ohio. For reference, Wisconsin’s two defensive line commits, Scott and Bah, are ranked as the No. 120 and No. 110 players at their position in the class, respectively.
Wisconsin’s class of 2026 currently ranks No. 32 in the nation and No. 10 in the Big Ten with 10 players committed. The group has added four players since the first official weekend, momentum that should continue through the rest of the month.
