Last season, Staley led South Carolina to the national title game, where the Gamecocks eventually suffered a loss to Geno Auriemma and the UConn Huskies, led by women’s college basketball stars Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd.
Before losing to UConn in the postseason, South Carolina defeated Tennessee Tech, Indiana, Maryland, Duke and Texas.
In the offseason, as Staley and her staff prepare for another road to the national title, they received big news on their 2025-26 schedule.
After a recent announcement on the ACC/SEC Challenge, it was revealed that South Carolina would be playing Louisville on December 4 at the KFC Yum Center!, per Lulu Kesin.
South Carolina’s roster will look quite different next season. One of their leaders, guard MiLaysia Fulwiley, left in the offseason, transferring to LSU.
