The Florida men’s basketball team drew Duke in the ACC-SEC Challenge on Thursday, but the Gators’ women’s basketball team will be playing Virginia Tech.
ESPN announced the matchups for the women’s side of the challenge, and Florida is hoping to improve to 3-0 after taking down Georgia Tech, 68-58, in 2023 and Clemson, 77-64, last season. The Gators will be on the road in Blacksburg on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025. The game will be broadcast on one of the ESPN, ACC, or SEC platforms, with details to be announced later.

Florida’s women’s basketball team is 3-1 all-time against Virginia Tech, but the two programs haven’t met since 2014. The Gators won that game by nearly 30 points, but the programs are in very different places a decade later.
