The Duke Blue Devils recently courted one of the best freshman classes in program history with Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach.
Duke’s freshmen led the ACC team to a 35-4 record. They won the ACC Tournament title and entered the NCAA Tournament as a No. 1 seed.

After losing in the Final Four to the Houston Cougars, a couple of Duke stars announced official decisions on their future in college basketball.
It’s been known that Flagg and Knueppel will be departing Duke for the NBA Draft, but Maluach kept everyone guessing until recently.
On Sunday, he took to social media, sharing a parting post after his freshman season at Duke.
“GOD’S PLAN 💙🙏🏾” Maluach captioned the post.
Maluach has officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft.

Maluach originally committed to Duke as a five-star recruit, ranked as the No. 1 center and the No. 6 overall player in the class of 2024, per 247Sports.

Before committing to Duke, Maluach was one of the most highly touted players in high school basketball, receiving offers from UCLA, Kentucky, Kansas and many more.

During his freshman season with the Duke Blue Devils, Maluach averaged 8.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.
He’s now headed to the NBA Draft with fellow Duke freshmen Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel. All three prospects are widely regarded as lottery picks in the upcoming draft.
It may have been a short stint at Duke, but Maluach left a lasting mark with the Blue Devils.
