The Arkansas Razorbacks have officially added another playmaker to their offensive arsenal with the signing of former Florida State wide receiver Jalen Brown. A former 4-star recruit and top-100 national prospect, Brown announced his decision following a weekend official visit to Fayetteville.
Brown, 6-foot-1 and 174 pounds, brings with him experience from both the SEC and ACC. Originally a member of LSU’s 2023 recruiting class, he transferred to Florida State after one season in Baton Rouge. In 2024, he appeared in nine games for the Seminoles and made two starts, finishing with eight receptions for 75 yards.

Out of Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep, Brown was a consensus 4-star prospect and ranked as the No. 91 overall player in the 2023 class by 247Sports. He chose LSU over offers from powerhouse programs including Georgia, Texas, Miami, and Oklahoma.
Brown is known for his deep-threat ability, with scouting reports highlighting his speed, ball-tracking skills, and potential to stretch defenses vertically. While still developing his short and intermediate route-running, his upside aligns with the Razorbacks’ evolving offensive strategy.
Arkansas offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino oversaw a major turnaround last season, as the Razorbacks jumped to No. 10 nationally in total offense and ranked third in the FBS with 246 plays of 10 or more yards. The addition of Brown gives Petrino another weapon to deploy in a system that emphasizes big-play potential.

Brown will also reunite with former Florida State quarterback Trever Jackson, who signed with Arkansas earlier this week. Their familiarity could accelerate Brown’s transition and give the Razorbacks another dynamic connection in the passing game.
With Brown’s commitment, Arkansas continues to reshape its receiver room, adding speed and athleticism alongside transfers like Andy Jean and Omega Blake. The move signals a clear intent to maintain explosive playmaking at the skill positions as the Razorbacks build on their offensive success from 2024.
Brown has multiple years of eligibility remaining and arrives in Fayetteville with the opportunity to make an immediate impact.
