MADISON – The Wisconsin football program got Zion Legree on campus this weekend, and judging by the results, made a heck of an impression.

On3 reported on June 15 that the 6-foot-1, 195-pound athlete from Florida committed to the Badgers. The news comes after Legree completed an official visit to the UW campus this weekend.

During Legree’s visit he re-connected with Badger quarterback Danny O’Neil, who played 7-on-7 ball with him a couple of years ago.

Legree is the 13th player to commit to the Badgers’ 2026 class. Though listed as an athlete, he was slotted to play receiver at Wisconsin.

The commitment comes about two weeks after Legree announced his decommitment from Mississippi. Rivals lists him as a four-star prospect and the No. 28 recruit in Florida.

Since his decommitment Legree announced an offer from Nebraska. Rivals listed an offer from West Virginia as well as an official visit scheduled for the Mountaineers next weekend.

When Legree committed to Mississippi on Nov. 11, Wisconsin was not in the mix. His final eight schools before making that commitment included Georgia, Miami, Missouri, Illinois, Washington, Florida and Mississippi State.

He played his junior season at Pine Forest High School in Pensacola. He announced on X that he will play his senior season at Destin High School in Destin, Florida.
