Lady Vols basketball coach Kim Caldwell has promoted Maggie Stanley to assistant director of basketball operations and special assistant to the head coach.
Stanley was a graduate assistant during Caldwell’s first season at Tennessee. Stanley replaces Haley Hall, who left the program after two years to join former Lady Vols coach Kellie Harper’s staff at Missouri as director of basketball operations.

Stanley will assist executive director of basketball operations Catherine Greene, who also holds the title of chief of staff. Greene has been with the Lady Vols for six seasons. Greene manages all the team’s travel and annual budget, and she oversees team managers and support staff.
Stanley spent six seasons working with the women’s basketball program at Marshall. She was the director of basketball operations for the Herd from 2022-24, which included Caldwell’s lone season as Marshall’s head coach in 2023-24. Stanley played a key role during Caldwell’s season as she navigated logistics of qualifying for the Herd’s first NCAA tournament appearance since 1997.
Stanley started at Marshall as a student manager before spending two seasons as a graduate assistant for the Herd from 2020-22. Her role was expansive and included everything from equipment distribution and budgeting, travel logistics and providing statistics and analysis to the coaching staff.
Stanley earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a master’s degree in sports administration from Marshall. She began working on another master’s at Tennessee last year.
