Lakshya Sen vs Lin Chun-yi HIGHLIGHTS, All England Open Final: Lin beats Sen 21-15, 22-20 to win men’s singles title

Lin takes the matchpoint with an excellent smash to the body of Sen, who fails to return. Lin clinches a 21-15, 22-20 win against Sen to win the men’s singles title at the 2026 All England Open.

An exemplary show of defence from Sen as he wins an excellent rally with his looped shot staying just in play. The rally lasted for 46 shots. 

It is a fault from Sen and Lin makes an excelllent comeback, equalling the score. 

Lin gets the better of Sen at the net and his smash reduces his deficit to two points. 

Lin had done well to win back-to-back points but Sen regains a four-point lead with a shot down the line. 

Sen finally gets the point as he carries a three-point lead in the mid-game interval.

A slice of good fortune for Lin as his shot hits the hit and falls on Sen’s side as the Indian does not get a chance to react. 

Lin is shown a yellow card for not being ready to play on time after the interval. He is given a warning. 

Sen does well to win back-to-back points but commits a fault as Lin takes a 11-9 lead at the mid-game interval. 

Sen concedes two points in consecutive faults and Lin is a point away from taking a lead into the mid-game interval. 

Back-to-back faults from Sena and Lin, and the first game remains a close affair. The Indian has not been able to equal scores.

It is a brilliant smash down the line from Sen to reduce the deficit to two. 

Lin goes for a challenge after he thought Lakshya’s smash was outside, but it is unsuccessful, and the Indian reduces the deficit to three. 

Lin is menacing with his crosscourt smashes from the baseline. Three of his six points have come with that. 

Lin looks more the player-in-form early on, but Sen has also shown glimpses. His fitness will also be a major point of concern as he was hobbling during the later stages of his gruelling semifinal match against Lai on Saturday. 

A strong start from Lin as he takes the first two points on serve. The last one comes from an excellent crosscourt smash.
