The ITTF Summit on Day 5 saw Member Associations from across the globe showcase their proposals to host upcoming editions of the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals and World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals. The record-breaking interest in hosting these flagship events highlights the global appeal and unprecedented growth of table tennis, with nations from multiple continents eager to bring the sport’s premier competitions to their shores.
For the 2027 edition, France, Kazakhstan, Brazil and USA all presented their bids. However, Brazil announced during their presentation that they would withdraw their bid for 2027 to show support for Kazakhstan and focus their efforts on hosting the 2029 edition instead.
