With the college basketball season less than six weeks away, Maryland men’s and women’s basketball have received their conference schedules from the Big Ten.
The men will open Big Ten play with an away game against Ohio State on Dec. 6 before the Terps open their home slate against Michigan State on Dec. 9.
Their main Big Ten slate begins with a West Coast trip, with games against UCLA and USC on Jan. 2 and Jan 5. In the following weeks, the Terps will then play Indiana and Rutgers, two of three opponents it’ll play twice in conference play (with Michigan State being the other).

Meanwhile, head coach Brenda Frese and Maryland women’s basketball open conference play with home games against 2026 tournament teams in Michigan and Minnesota as part of a schedule where eight of 10 visitors to the Xfinity Center advanced to March Madness.
The Terps take their West Coast swing in mid-January, traveling to face Washington and Oregon between hosting pacific powerhouses USC and UCLA.
