UFC star Paddy Pimblett got a warm welcome at the world premiere of Paramount+’s crime drama MobLand season 2, meeting Tom Hardy and other members of the cast.
MobLand is one of the hottest new shows on television. A gritty, high-stakes drama that follows the all-powerful Harrigan crime family throughout their dominant but bloody rule of the London underworld. Chaos ensues when the youngest son of the Harrigan family stabs the son of Richie Stevenson, the Harrigan family’s rival. Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a cold-blooded helper of the Harrigans who cleans up after their criminal mishaps. Channeling his inner love for mixed martial arts, Hardy brings an authentic feel to an already incredible show.

But outside of acting, one of Tom Hardy’s passions remains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Coincidentally, this is exactly where Paddy Pimblett flourishes in his MMA career. Meeting at the premiere of MobLand season 2, Pimblett and Hardy shared a mutual respect for one another. With both men expressing how they would love to train together, we may see a future link-up between the lovable Brits.
During their interaction, Paddy Pimblett asked if Tom Hardy believed he would survive in the cage.
“I’d love to train with you, lad,” Pimblett said. “Do you reckon you could last in the cage?”
Knowing the dedication and time you have to pour into your career to be a success in MMA, Tom Hardy answered the question with a swift ‘no.’

Hardy legitimately trains in BJJ and won several gold medals at real-world UK tournaments as a respectable blue belt.
