The Texas Longhorns have the No. 18 overall 2026 recruiting class and are looking to move up in the On3 Sports team rankings.

The Longhorns have more than 12 recruits in Austin this weekend for official visits and brought multiple Lamborghinis to show off. On3 Sports posted a video on social media of the cars inside Texas’ football stadium.
Some of the top recruits visiting Texas this weekend include five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson, four-star inside offensive lineman John Turntine, four-star Kendall Guervil, four-star defensive lineman James Johnson and four-star receiver Kaydon Finley.
Finley already has ties to Texas, as the son of former Longhorns tight end Jermichael Finley.
Fans took to social media to talk about Texas’ recruiting methods.
“You guys don’t have to show this every single time,” one fan commented. “We get it. Others are doing this too.”

“Show cars when you can’t show trophies.” An Oklahoma Sooners fan said.
“Anybody else tired of seeing Texas bribe their players with Lamborghinis?” another said.
“The same cars they rent for every visit,” another fan said.
“The rental fees are going to be enormous,” another fan added.

The Longhorns’ 2026 class is highlighted by five-star quarterback Dia Bell, four-star athlete Jermaine Bishop Jr., four-star defensive lineman Dylan Berymon and four-star receiver Chris Stewart.
Steve Sarkisian’s first season in the SEC ended with a trip to the semifinal round of the 12-team College Football Playoff. Texas lost to the eventual national champion, the Ohio State Buckeyes, 28-14.

Ohio State defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 34-23 to win the title.
Texas has a shot at revenge, with Ohio State as its 2025 season opener. However, not everyone thinks it will go well for the Longhorns.
ESPN’s Joe Fortenbaugh predicted Ohio State would be Texas’ first loss of the season.
Ohio State and Texas kick off on August 30 at Noon ET on Fox.
