Tony Parker is expected to become the new head coach of ASVEL Basket for the 2026–27 season, according to BasketNews.
Parker’s projected salary of around €1.2 million per year would reportedly make it the biggest coaching contract in French basketball history.
The club is also expected to add experienced staff members, with legendary French coach Vincent Collet likely to join either as an assistant or consultant.
Collet most recently worked with the Cleveland Cavaliers under Kenny Atkinson.
ASVEL is reportedly preparing for a major financial increase as new investors are expected to join the organization after the club operated with one of the EuroLeague’s lowest budgets last season.
The team has already shown more ambition in the market, with Armoni Brooks expected to sign a deal worth more than €2 million annually.
Parker currently serves as ASVEL president after previously selling his ownership shares in the club.
Tony Parker is expected to earn what could become the richest coaching salary in French basketball history as ASVEL head coach next season.
The most successful French coach is also expected to join his staff.
