Dan Hurley and the UConn Huskies saw their 13-game NCAA Tournament winning streak snapped in the second round with a loss to the Florida Gators.
Now, after seven seasons into his tenure at UConn, Hurley has compiled a 165-69 record, led the program to two national championships, and made five NCAA Tournament appearances.

It may still be April, but the 52-year-old is already locked in on Year 8 in Storrs, focused on retooling his roster and coaching staff as he gears up for another national championship run.
With longtime assistant Tom Moore transitioning into a full-time general manager role, Hurley had a key vacancy to fill.

On Tuesday, UConn announced the hiring of Mike Nardi, who joins the program after spending the past decade at his alma mater, Villanova.
“OFFICIAL: Welcome to the Basketball Capital of the World, Assistant Coach Mike Nardi!” UConn’s social media team posted.
After serving as a video coordinator, director of basketball operations, and then as an assistant, Nardi became the interim head coach at Villanova this past season following the firing of Kyle Neptune.

“I’m thrilled to add a bright and talented coach like Mike Nardi to our staff here at UConn,” Hurley said. “Mike has been a part of winning under the brightest lights and on the biggest stages as both a player and as a coach. He will bring a unique perspective to help us pursue our championship goals and I can’t wait for him to start working with our players and coaches.”
Nardi was part of Villanova’s national championship runs in 2016 and 2018, and also played a key role in the program’s five Big East regular-season titles and five Big East Tournament championships.
