USC men’s basketball adds three players in the transfer portal

by admin

Saturday was a hectic news day for USC men’s basketball. The day started out with bad news with the announcement that Wesley Yates III will enter the transfer portal. However, not all was lost on the day, as the Trojans would respond with three key portal additions of their own.

The first addition was Cal State Northridge forward Keonte Jones. Jones started 33 games for the Matadors last season, averaging 13.1 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest.

Up next was Virginia’s Jacob Kofie. As a freshman this past season, Kofie appeared in 32 games and made 16 starts. He averaged 20.7 minutes and 7.2 points per contest.

The Trojans’ third commitment of the day was from Robert Morris guard Amarion Dickerson. Dickerson made 31 starts for the Colonials in 2024-2025, averaging 13.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

With the departure of Yates and three new additions, it seems as though the Trojans’ roster will look very different next season. After a disappointing first season at USC, head coach Eric Musselman is looking to turn the program into a Big Ten contender moving forward.
