Washington men’s basketball Big Ten Conference schedule announced

by admin

The Washington Huskies‘ men’s basketball conference schedule has officially been announced.

After returning from the Southwest Maui Invitational over Thanksgiving week, Danny Sprinkle’s squad will have a tune-up game against non-conference opponent Norfolk State in Seattle on November 29 before kicking off Big Ten play with a road trip to USC on December 2. That will give Huskies wing Wesley Yates III an opportunity against his former school for the fourth time: he scored 16, 11, and 15 in three games against the Trojans last season.

From there, the Huskies continue conference play with a December 13 home contest against UCLA, their last game before a Climate Pledge Arena showdown with Baylor on December 19 in the first annual Seattle Holiday Classic. The Huskies will also play Cornell on December 28 after a 9-day layoff over the winter holidays before kicking off conference play in earnest with the new year.

A road trip to Michigan is up first, with the Wolverines on January 2 and Michigan State on January 5. Washington returns to Seattle on January 9 to face Indiana and January 13 against Nebraska before making another quick trip to Los Angeles to play UCLA again on January 16. Northwestern comes to Seattle on January 20 before another Midwestern road trip for the Huskies, with Wisconsin on January 23 and Minnesota on January 26. Washington closes January with a home game against Rutgers on January 30.
