Clark’s shoe reveal comments explained why she struggled to sleep before facing the Dream.
“Even yesterday, knowing I was going to post that early in the morning. I didn’t sleep very well. I was just so excited,” Clark said.
She added, “And I went to bed late, obviously, because we played the night before, so kind of like a kid on Christmas, you get to show the world what you have been working on for a couple years.”

The reason was the Nike Caitlin 1, Clark’s first signature shoe with Nike. The reveal arrived before the Fever’s game against the Dream, turning an already high-profile night into a personal milestone for one of the WNBA’s biggest stars.
The debut Racer Blue colorway is scheduled for release on October 1, 2026, with a reported adult price of $140. The shoe includes Clark-specific details, including nods to her initials and No. 22, while Nike built it around her range, pace and movement.

Clark still had to move from the emotion of the reveal into a physical WNBA game against Reese and the Dream. She finished with 26 points and seven assists, but Atlanta won 108-101 behind a balanced offensive night and Reese’s 21 points and 11 rebounds.

The timing made the day even bigger for Clark because it combined two parts of her growing profile. She was not just leading the Fever on court, she was also stepping into the signature-shoe space that remains rare and valuable in women’s basketball.
