Wisconsin football receives another prediction to land a top 2026 target

Wisconsin football received another 247Sports crystal ball prediction to land top-ranked class of 2026 running back Amari Latimer on Monday.

Latimer, who received two predictions favoring the Badgers on May 8 and June 5, respectively, has now also collected one from Wisconsin insider Nick Osen. Like the outlet’s previous predictions, authored by UW analysts Evan Flood and Jon McNamara, this forecast was released with a ‘medium’ confidence level.

The coveted class of 2026 running back officially visited Madison the weekend of May 30 and returned for an unofficial visit the following weekend. The four-star recruit has narrowed his final list of schools down to Michigan Wolverines, Florida State, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Barring a decision in the coming days, he will officially visit Texas on June 13 and Georgia on June 20.

247Sports considers the Tyrone, Georgia, native as the No. 288 overall player in the class of 2026, the No. 17 running back and the No. 31 recruit from his home state. As a senior with Sandy Creek High School, he rushed 136 times for 1,113 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground, in addition to 27 catches for 363 yards and four scores through the air.

Aside from the obvious on-field talent, Wisconsin’s recruitment of Latimer has familial ties. The burgeoning star is the younger brother of current Wisconsin cornerback Geimere Latimer, who transferred to Madison in December following a 42-tackle, three-interception campaign with Jacksonville State.

As of June 10, Wisconsin’s current class of 2026 ranks No. 36 in the nation and No. 10 in the Big Ten. The group recently rose significantly after a flurry of commitments at the start of June. Luke Fickell’s program added five commitments to the class after its first official visit window — tight end Jack Janda, tight end Jack Sievers, defensive lineman Arthur Scott, linebacker Ben Wenzel and defensive lineman Djidjou Bah.

Latimer would immediately become Wisconsin’s first blue-chip commit of the class if he elects to join the Badgers. Other targets, including wide receiver Jayden Petit, offensive tackle Kamari Blair and athlete Jackson Ford, are also seriously in the fold for UW.
