The U.S. Open Cup round-of-16 gets underway Tuesday evening with two all-MLS matchups.
Here is what has gone down so far.

While the two teams traded chances in the 90 minutes, the scoreless affair required extra-time, and it was the home side who found the winner in the extra session.
After a bad giveaway in the middle of the park by the Timbers, Mark Anthony-Kaye’s shot found it’s way into the back of the net, helped on by a slight deflection by fellow Earthquake Jack Skahan.
Chicago Fire knock New England Revolution out in Providence
Scorers:Â Reynolds (OG) 89 ; Klein 38′ (OG), Cuypers 69′, Zinckernagel 79′
It was a dreary atmosphere in Providence as Chicago sent a heavily-rotated Revolution crashing out in the round-of-16.

The game was played away from Gillette Stadium due to scheduling conflicts, but the visitors had no trouble putting on early pressure and forcing an Ethan Klein own-goal.
Fire club-record signing Hugo Cuypers made his impact on the match, putting it to bed past the hour mark after nearly a second own-goal from the hosts.
A late strike from substitute Philip Zinckernagel was the final nail in the hosts’ coffin, despite the Revs finding a late consolation goal to cut the lead.
Gregg Berhalter’s side will now await the finish of the round as the remaining clubs will be redrawn in the quarter-final.
