College football season may have just begun. But college basketball season is only two months away! This year, Lindsay Gottlieb and the USC women’s team once again have a loaded slate of nonconference games lined up on the schedule.
This week, it was announced that the Trojans will play in the 2026 Players Era Women’s Basketball Showcase in Las Vegas. USC will face Notre Dame on December 19 and Duke on December 20, with both games being televised by ESPN.

“A groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind college basketball event that began in 2024, the 2026 season marks the second iteration of the women’s event,” USC wrote in a press release. “In addition to USC, Notre Dame and Duke, the Players Era women’s field also features South Carolina, Texas and UCLA. All six games will air nationally across ESPN and ESPN2.
“The event will also offer a seven-figure pool for available name, image and likeness opportunities, one of the largest for a single event in women’s college sports history.”
USC’s full schedule for the 2026-2027 season has yet to be announced. However, we know that the Women of Troy will open the year with another trip to Las Vegas to take on UNLV on November 2.
