JJ Redick made his NBA career as an elite three-point shooter, but the current Lakers coach does not consider himself one of the five greatest shooters ever.
Years before joining the Lakers, Redick appeared on “The Draymond Green Show,” where he was asked to name his all-time top five. Stephen Curry was an easy choice for the top spot.
“Oh, that’s easy. That’s easy. Steph [Curry] is first. Everybody else is way down the list to me,” Redick said, which Green agreed with.
Redick then selected four more notable shooters without ranking them.
“In no particular order, the other four, it’s Klay [Thompson], Kyle Korver, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller. To me, those are the guys.”
Korver stands out as the least decorated player on the list, but his shooting numbers were exceptional.
He finished his career at 42.9% from three and once connected on 49.2% of his attempts during a season with the Atlanta Hawks.
Korver also retired with 2,450 made three-pointers, placing him among the most productive long-range shooters in NBA history.
Redick’s list left out several prominent names, including Damian Lillard and James Harden, as well as Redick himself.
