USA Swimming Announces Updates to 2025-2026 Events Calendar

by admin

USA Swimming, the National Governing Body of the sport of swimming in the United States, today announced four updates to its 2025-2026 national events calendar.

The 2025-2026 season will kick off with the Toyota U.S. Open, which will return to a Long-Course-Meter format and take place December 3-6 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas. The site has hosted numerous Speedo Sectionals and junior-level meets throughout the years, however, this will mark USA Swimming’s first senior-level, national meet in Austin since the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series Austin.

Shortly after the 2025 Toyota U.S. Open will be the 2025 Speedo Winter Junior Championships. The Short-Course-Yards competition will take place December 10-13, with the East competition being held at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the West competition being held at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas.

The nation’s premier open water competition, the Open Water National & Junior National Championships, will return to Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida, from April 2-4, 2026. This will be the fourth consecutive Open Water National & Junior National Championships hosted in Sarasota.

Shortly after the open water community’s marquee event will be the Toyota National Championships, which is slated for July 28-August 1, 2026, at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, California. Irvine has been the site for numerous national meets in recent years – most recently hosting the 2024 Speedo Summer Championships – and will be the swimming venue for the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships, which will take place August 12-15, 2026.

The remaining 2025-2026 calendar of national events, including the TYR Pro Swim Series competitions, will be announced later this year. For more on upcoming national meets, visit www.usaswimming.org/events.
