Illinois basketball has come calling for Quinton Kitt.
The East Peoria sophomore announced on social media Sunday afternoon that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Fighting Illini. Kitt, a 6-foot-6 forward/guard, already holds offers from Illinois State and Bradley.

“After a great conversation with Coach (Geoff) Alexander,” Kitt posted, “I’m extremely blessed to receive my 3rd D1 offer from the University of Illinois”
During this past season, Kitt averaged 23.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists for East Peoria, which finished 23-9 for the program’s first 20-win season since 1997. He was named Journal Star all-area, all-Mid-Illini Conference first team and Illinois Basketball Coaches Association all-state third team.
