EFFINGHAM — Below is the 2024-2025 Effingham Daily News All-Area Boys Basketball First and Second Team.

Ten players are divided into two separate teams and are listed in alphabetical order:

FIRST TEAM

Guard: Mason Byers, jr., Louisville (North Clay)

Averaged 17.1 points and five rebounds per game. All-tournament at the National Trail Conference Tournament. All-conference second-team selection from the National Trail Conference.

Guard: Brock Fearday, sr., Effingham (St. Anthony)

Southwestern Illinois College baseball recruit. All-time leading scorer in St. Anthony boys basketball program history. Averaged 16.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for a fourth-place state finisher. Effingham Daily News Boys Basketball co-Player of the Year. All-tournament at the National Trail Conference Tournament. All-conference first-team selection from the National Trail Conference.

Guard: Landen Keck, sr., Dieterich

Averaged 12.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for a regional champion. Effingham Daily News Boys Basketball co-Defensive Player of the Year. All-tournament at the National Trail Conference Tournament. All-conference first-team selection from the National Trail Conference.

Guard: Alex Kremer, sr., Teutopolis

Averaged 9.9 points and four rebounds per game for a sectional champion and super-sectional finalist.

Guard: Kade Milleville, jr., Altamont

Averaged 18.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and three assists per game. All-tournament at the National Trail Conference Tournament. All-conference first-team selection from the National Trail Conference.

Guard: Keenan Griffith, jr., Effingham (St. Anthony)

Averaged 6.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and three assists per game for a fourth-place state finisher. All-conference honorable mention from the National Trail Conference.

Guard: Jackson Gurgel, sr., Strasburg (Stewardson-S.)-Windsor
