Jean Silva won’t be staying on the sidelines for long, with his next appearance already booked.
While it wasn’t the matchup many fans were hoping to see, there’s still plenty of interest in what Silva brings to the table. His willingness to step up against Alexander Volkanovski as he pushed for a title shot didn’t go unnoticed, even if the fight never materialised.

There had been some early rumours that a clash between him and Arnold Allen could be on the cards after both fighters expressed interest. But those talks didn’t get very far.

Hype Brazil moved quickly to fill its main event slot, bringing in Jean Silva to headline the card after Paulo Costa was forced out due to illness.
Silva will face former UFC bantamweight title challenger Marlon Vera on April 8 in Sao Paulo. The match, which will be a submission-only contest, gives both fighters a chance to rebound.
Silva is looking to build momentum after his draw with Bryce Mitchell last month, which also saw him close the chapter on their rivalry from 2025. He’s been aiming for a featherweight title shot since his win over Arnold Allen earlier this year.

Vera, meanwhile, is hoping to snap a four-fight skid dating back to 2023 and find some consistency again in the octagon.
The co-main event features Deiveson Figueiredo against Raul Rosas Jr., adding more depth to what’s shaping up to be an intriguing card.
Charles Oliveira will be hosting the press conference later today and is expected to corner his coach at the event as well, which should add some local star power for fans attending live.
