La Laguna Tenerife coach Txus Vidorreta praised semifinal opponent Rytas Basket while expressing confidence in his own team entering the Basketball Champions League Final Four.
“Rytas Basket has done a great job, that’s why they are here,” Vidorreta said. “But we have also done a good job in the BCL, we have only lost three games.”
Vidorreta highlighted Tenerife’s experience while also complimenting Rytas’ system and discipline.
“We have more experience, we are a more veteran team,” Vidorreta said. “In my opinion, they are very good in five-on-five, a good coach with young players who have been taught to play as a team.”
The Tenerife coach also noted that his team enters this year’s Final Four healthier than in previous seasons.
“We are in the best condition of recent years: we have no casualties,” Vidorreta said. “That has never happened in previous years.”
Despite some inconsistency during the season, Vidorreta hopes Tenerife can show its best version on the biggest stage.
“We’ll see what image we show, with the hope of showing our best version,” he said.
