by admin

Justin Allgaier’s future with JR Motorsports has been one of the biggest storylines during the NASCAR O’Reilly Series silly season process. Allgaier was rumored to explore retirement before the 2026 O’Reilly Series season, but his success has changed the tune. In fact, the NASCAR organization has a new update on the driver of the No. 7 car for 2027.

Kelley Earnhardt-Miller, co-owner of JR Motorsports, said on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that she is “so glad that [JR Motorsports] talked [Justin Allgaier] into coming back for a couple more years and not retiring yet.” While JR Motorsports hasn’t officially announced an extension, Allgaier seems to be returning for the 2027 season and beyond.

In 2026, Allgaier is enjoying his most successful season yet with six wins in 21 races. The six victories are already a career-high for Allgaier, who has 12 more races to add to that total. Heading into the Chase, Allgaier figures to be the championship favorite, and the O’Reilly Series field will have to deal with him beyond the season.
