Brazil topped the medal table at the Lima 2026 Para Pan American Championships, winning three individual titles on finals day to finish ahead of the USA.

Thiago Pinheiro da Silva claimed his first Para Pan American title, improving on the bronze medal he won at the previous edition in 2024. The Brazilian narrowly defeated Colombia’s Jairo Fabian Burgos Rincon in a shoot-off. World number three da Silva also won the Hyundai World Archery Para Series event in Santiago last week.

Peru’s Daniela Cecilia Campos Marzanodominated recurve women’s competition throughout the week, but faced a tougher challenge in the final against Brazil’s Fabiola Dergovics. After falling behind in the opening set, Campos Marzano fought back to take the match to a fifth-set decider. Like da Silva, she also won in Santiago and improved on the bronze medal she earned at this championship in 2024.

Brazil’s Jane Karla Gogel successfully defended her compound women’s title against top seed Yasneide Peñaranda Acosta of Colombia, while the USA’s Kevin Polish added a Para Pan American title to his list of compound achievements. The three-time Paralympian will now look towards an attempt to defend his Parapan American Games title in Lima next year.
