Caitlin Clark was arguably closer to being the MVP in her rookie season, which she won WNBA Rookie of the Year, than many realize. Already the face of the league, she is primed to continue breaking out in her second season.
Coming off of one of the best rookie seasons in WNBA history after rewriting the record books at Iowa, Caitlin Clark is looking to lead the Indiana Fever to a deep playoff run and continue the transformation of the franchise.

On that path, she might just end up as the best WNBA fantasy option as well. She currently ranks as the second-best WNBA fantasy option as the season looms, via ESPN.
2025 Outlook:
After a record-breaking collegiate career at Iowa, Clark made her mark on the WNBA as a rookie in 2024. Clark set a single-season record with 337 assists, made the second-most three-pointers in a season in WNBA history (122), set a single-season record for points as a rookie (769) and was the first rookie to record a triple-double. After a rocky start, Clark found her groove in June and didn’t look back, averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 3.1 three-pointers in 35.4 minutes per game while appearing in every game. However, Clark shot only 41.7 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from deep while committing 5.6 turnovers per game. Clark could cede some work to newcomers Natasha Howard, DeWanna Bonner and Sophie Cunningham in 2025, but she should flourish in an improved offense that still has Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston. Entering her second year, Clark trails only A’Ja Wilson in the rankings, a mainstay among the best fantasy contributors in the entire WNBA.
Clark’s line last year of 19 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game is expected to be similar in 2024, with ESPN anticipating an output of 20.5 points, 8.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds while improving her field goal percentage and making slightly more three-point attempts per game.
