A two-game losing streak had some questioning Fever head coach Stephanie White’s job security. On Thursday, however, Indiana returned to form.

Powered by a stifling defensive display, the Fever downed the Dream, 83-71. The performance proved noteworthy for multiple reasons for Indiana, who conceded fewer points to Atlanta than any other team this season.
The Fever moved one game over .500 with their win, a far rosier sight than had been expected when they took the floor. White, meanwhile, cemented her status as one of the sport’s finest defensive tacticians, using multiple looks to keep the likes of Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard and Angel Reese on their toes.
The gauntlet continues to Indiana, which is not slated to the play the Liberty on Saturday night. If White’s squad can pitch a similar display to the one it offered up on Thursday, another solid result could be on-course against a conference playmaker.
