Women’s Basketball (6-4)
In their only game of the week, the women’s basketball team was blown out 95-55 by No. 3 South Carolina. A 29-9 third-quarter performance by the Gamecocks allowed them to quickly pull away in the second half. Penn State shot just 31% from the field in the game and committed 26 turnovers to South Carolina’s five. Kiyomi McMiller led Penn State with 22 points and six rebounds. Shayla Smith added 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Lady Lions will travel to Richmond, Virginia this weekend to take on VCU (Friday at 3:30pm) and Richmond (Saturday at 2:30pm).
