The second leg of the 2025 Asia Cup sees a large field of teams from across the continent head to Singapore – a debut destination on the circuit, with the entire competition held at the Bukit Gombak Stadium in the hilly Bukit Batok district.
World ranking points are available, and with most nations working on selections for the Gwangju 2025 Hyundai World Archery Championships in September, this is the time to make an impression.
It’s a decent size field, but with fewer established stars. Larger archery nations often send development squads to the Asia Cup legs to gain international experience. This edition is no exception: India, China, Chinese Taipei and Japan are competing without their frontline archers, and there is no delegation from Korea.
It gives more opportunities for new faces to stand out, and many future world medallists first made an impression at an Asia Cup event – and with Oceania included in the catchment area, teams from both Australia and New Zealand are attending.
