Sophie Cunningham has become one of the Indiana Fever‘s biggest fan favorites, both for her production on the court and her personality away from it. Now, just hours before Indiana returns home for another key WNBA matchup, the veteran guard is asking Fever fans to join her for a special event that extends beyond basketball games.

Fresh off one of the best performances of her season, Cunningham took to social media on Wednesday with a simple invitation for fans.
“Come hang out 🏀,” she wrote while promoting her upcoming youth basketball camp.
The timing couldn’t be much better. Cunningham is riding plenty of momentum after helping Indiana roll to a dominant victory over the Las Vegas Aces, and she’ll look to keep that momentum going Wednesday night when the Fever host the Golden State Valkyries.
Sophie Cunningham invites young fans to Indiana basketball camp
Cunningham announced that her Sophie Cunningham Basketball ProCamp will take place on Saturday, July 19, at the Aletto Family Sports Center in Carmel, Indiana. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-15 and will feature basketball instruction, skill development, drills, competitions and opportunities for young players to interact with one of the WNBA’s premier perimeter shooters.
With Cunningham encouraging fans to “come hang out,” the event offers Fever supporters a chance to spend time with one of the team’s most recognizable personalities during one of the franchise’s most exciting seasons in recent memory. Community events like this have become increasingly common for Indiana players as the Fever’s popularity continues to soar. Teammate Lexie Hull also hosted a successful youth basketball camp in Carmel earlier this summer, drawing young athletes from across the state.

For Cunningham, the camp is another opportunity to connect with Indiana’s rapidly growing basketball community while helping inspire the next generation of players.

Cunningham has become a key piece for Indiana
The timing of the announcement also comes as Cunningham continues to play some of her best basketball of the season. Through 22 games, the veteran guard is averaging 9.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting an outstanding 43.5% from three-point range, ranking among the WNBA’s most efficient long-range shooters.

She was especially impressive in Sunday’s 109-75 victory over the Las Vegas Aces, erupting for 20 points off the bench while knocking down six of her eight attempts from beyond the arc. Her shooting helped fuel one of Indiana’s most complete performances of the year as the Fever improved to 14-9.
Cunningham’s ability to stretch defenses has made her an ideal complement alongside stars Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, giving head coach Stephanie White another dangerous scoring option whenever she checks into the game.
Now, Cunningham will look to carry that hot shooting into Wednesday night’s matchup against the expansion Golden State Valkyries as Indiana tries to extend its winning streak to three games. But before tipoff, she’s hoping plenty of Fever fans will answer her invitation and join her on Saturday for a day focused on developing young basketball players throughout central Indiana.
